Congratulations to the New Chamber Leadership

Hi Everyone.

I just wanted to quickly thank everyone for coming out tonight to vote for next year's leadership team. While I was not elected to the Board of Directors, that's ok. After attending the meeting and hearing each candidate discuss their views, I feel we have nonetheless elected members that operate with a great deal of wisdom and experience, and will be able to fulfill their duties with integrity.

I'd also like to congratulate Aury Licata on his election as Chamber president. I look forward to continuing to work with him and the leadership team to bring a clear and useful marketing strategy to the town of Suffern.

Sincerely,

Dear Friend,

I am honored to accept nomination for the role of one of the board of directors for the Suffern Chamber of Commerce. As I have been working closely with the leadership team this year to develop a new website for the Chamber, I have encountered several problems which I feel can be corrected through hard work, debate and mutual understanding:
  1. The town residents, business owners and Chamber members want to attract more business to Suffern, but do not have a collective and clear vision on how to do so.
  2. The Chamber leadership team needs to develop a marketing plan that respects the wishes of its members, and forges ahead with modernized tried and true methods to gain additional business.
  3. While many Chamber members want better technology for their businesses and the town, they have not received the training, resources or attention to help receive them.
If elected as one of the Board of Directors for the Suffern Chamber of Commerce, I will work diligently to correct these problems, by doing the following:
  1. Gather information from all willing members of the Suffern Chamber of Commerce to help develop a clear, unified vision for attracting more business to Suffern
  2. Work with the Chamber leadership team and other Board of Directors to develop and refine a new marketing plan that respects the wishes of Chamber members, and introduces modernized methods
  3. Work to unify communications between the leadership team and Chamber members, and plan and conduct more successful:
  • Seminars
  • Networking events
  • Street fairs and town-wide activities
